FAQ’s

  1. In the Receiver screen, the source I want to connect my receiver to is not shown. What happened to it?
Make sure the source you want to connect to is not disabled. Go to the Sources screen or the Settings menu to enable it.
  2. What do the signal strength bars mean?
The bars let you instantly see the strength of the signal of devices in your Rocketboost network:
    1. Four green bars: Strong signal strength.
    2. Two yellow bars: Weak signal warning. Audio quality is still good.
    3. One red bar: Audio dropouts may occur.
    4. Gray bars: The Rocketboost device is out of range. No sound is heard. The Rocketboost device remains on the display for five minutes and then disappears.
To maintain the strongest signal, make sure your Rocketboost devices are in range of the Rocketboost hub. The unobstructed operating range of most Rocketboost devices is 150 feet (45 meters).
  3. Why do I hear multiple audio sources coming out of one receiver?
The RF-RBUSB sender connected via USB to your Windows computer sends all of the audio playing on the computer. Make sure that only one application on your computer is playing audio.
  4. How can I listen to my favorite Internet radio station using RF-RBUSB?
Select None (Computer Audio) from the Player drop-down menu on the Sources or Receivers screen. Start playing your Internet radio audio and it plays through the RF-RBUSB.
  5. Can I change the volume of just one of the receivers in a group or party?
You must first ungroup the group or Party using the Receiver Groups option in the Settings menu. Adjust the volumes of individual receivers, then regroup the receivers or re-enable Party mode.
  6. Why do my RF-RBWS02 devices that are stereo-paired not change volume together when volume changes are made on Rocketboost Control?
Group devices to create a “virtual couple.” This lets you control the devices as if they were one device. To create a group, use the Receiver Groups option in the Settings menu.
  7. How can I integrate my old computer speakers into my Rocketboost network?
Connect computer speakers or headphones to the LINE OUT jack on the back of the RF-RBUSB.
  8. Why do I not hear audio from my RF-RBUSB source, even though audio is playing on my computer?
    • Adjust the volume knob on the Rocketboost receiver.
    • Make sure that the volume on your computer is not muted.
    • Make sure that the volume in Windows Media Player or iTunes is not muted and is set to at least 50%.
    • Make sure that the Rocketboost Control Computer Software volume on your computer is not muted.
    • The RF-RBUSB can send audio from either the USB or the LINE IN jacks. If the LINE IN LED on the front of the RF-RBUSB is on, the audio connected to the LINE IN jack is sent rather than the audio from your computer. Press USB In on your RF-RBUSB remote to switch to USB input.
  9. My RF-RBUSB is connected to the USB port on my computer, but none of the lights on the front are working.
Make sure the power adapter is securely connected to the back of the RF-RBUSB.
