This is a little tricky because the labeling on the back of the sender of the RF-RBKIT is designed for 5.1-channel and an additional source:
- Turn off four-channel lock.
- Connect all the speaker wires to the back of your AV receiver.
- Connect the left surround speaker wire from the AV receiver to Speaker A (Right) on the back of the RF-RBKIT sender. Connect the left rear speaker wire from the AV receiver to Speaker A (Left) on the back of the RF-RBKIT sender. Connect the right surround-speaker wire from the back of the AV receiver to Speaker B (Right) on the back of the RF-RBKIT sender and connect the right rear speaker wire from the back of the AV receiver to the Speaker B (Left) on the back of the RF-RBKIT sender.
(As an alternative, you can connect the rear left/right to the Speaker A inputs and the surround left/right to the Speaker B inputs. Make sure you connect the corresponding speakers to the correct outputs on the receiver boxes which correspond to the input channels.)
- Connect the receiver from the RF-RBKIT to the left surround and rear speakers. Connect the RF-RBREC (a separate item you need to purchase) to the right surround and rear speakers. Plug in and turn on.
- The receiver in the kit will already be joined to the network, so join the second receiver to the network (see previous instructions).
- Put a movie in and start playing it. On the front of the sender, turn both source A and B on so they are blue (sending). Go to the back of the room and press Next Source on your receivers until you see the correct source light flash. When you press the Next Source button, the sender's source light will flash for about three seconds when it is selected by the receiver using the Next Source button. This visual illumination tells you which source channel each receiver is connected to.
Alternatively, turn HD on for source A, but leave it off of B for now. Go to the back of the room and tune your receivers into the right channel.
Use the HD indicator to identify that you are getting the correct audio on the correct sides of the room. Once that is done, turn HD on Source B (on the sender).
- Turn four-channel lock back on.
Note: When four-channel lock is set, you will not be able to change the source of the receivers unless you switch it off. This is intentional so that your 7.1.-channel setup cannot be messed up by a casual press of the Next source button.
